Job summary

Flipspaces is seeking an experienced MEP Design Engineer to lead design development for commercial interiors. You will coordinate MEP drawings, resolve clashes, support pre-sales and BOQ, produce drawings, and provide site guidance while ensuring quality and code compliance across all stages of projects.

The ideal candidate has 4-9 years in MEP design, strong electrical and HVAC skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD with knowledge of Revit/BIM. NBC/ECBC/IS standards experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-9 years in MEP design for commercial interiors, offices, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use projects with a demonstrated portfolio of independently designed and delivered MEP packages.
• Strong technical competence across at least two MEP disciplines—electrical + HVAC; plumbing and fire-fighting knowledge is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD – able to produce complete, coordinated MEP working drawings independently. Revit or BIM experience is a significant advantage.
• Solid understanding of Indian codes and standards applicable to commercial interior MEP — NBC, ECBC, IS standards, and local fire authority requirements.
• Comfortable with load calculations — HVAC heat load, electrical load schedule, plumbing fixture counts — using established calculation methods or specialist software.
