Job summary

Yash Group of Industries seeks a Melting Shift Supervisor to oversee furnace melting operations on the night/day shift in Wai, Maharashtra. The role requires 2–3 years in foundry/melting environments and a Mechanical diploma or BE/BTech.

You will manage pouring, monitor temperatures, and ensure safety and quality throughout shifts. The ideal candidate will supervise manpower, generate daily production reports, and coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Production departments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in foundry/melting operations.
• Experience supervising a shift and coordinating with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise furnace melting operations during the shift.
• Oversee pouring operations as per production and quality requirements.
• Monitor furnace temperature, melting cycle and material charging.
• Ensure safe handling of molten metal and pouring activities.
• Supervise shift manpower and allocate work efficiently.
• Monitor production, rejection and quality during the shift.
• Enforce safety practices and PPE in the melting area.
• Prepare daily reports for production, melting and shift activities.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in the melting area.
• Identify process issues and take corrective actions.
• Ensure smooth shift handover with proper reporting.
