Role Description

This full-time, on-site Medical Lab Technician role is based in Mumbai and supports day-to-day diagnostic operations within partner laboratories. The Medical Lab Technician will collect, receive, and prepare patient specimens, perform routine and specialized tests, and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols. The role includes maintaining accurate records, entering test data into laboratory information systems, and ensuring timely reporting to support fast turnaround times. The technician will assist with quality control procedures, equipment calibration, and inventory management of consumables. Collaboration with laboratory colleagues and adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards are essential to ensure reliable results and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine to perform diagnostic tests accurately and interpret results within defined protocols.
• Demonstrated Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, sample preparation, and adherence to safety and infection control procedures.
• Experience with Quality Control practices, including routine checks, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Proficiency in using and maintaining Laboratory Equipment, including analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic instruments.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; certification or registration with an appropriate professional body is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tests and priorities in a high-throughput laboratory environment.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) for data entry and report generation.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a patient-focused setting.
