Job summary

Elite Corporate Solutions is seeking a Lab Technician to join the Lab Operations team in a diagnostics setting. You will perform tests, record results, and ensure turnaround times with strict QA/QC.

Responsibilities include handling samples, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and coordinating with pathologists and clinicians while upholding safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in a diagnostic or hospital lab.
• Proficiency in lab safety and QA/QC practices.
• Knowledge of NABL guidelines and LIS is preferred.

• Perform laboratory tests as per SOPs and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to TAT.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Monitor reagent and consumable inventory and ensure proper utilization.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and patient records.
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Coordinate effectively with Pathologists, clinicians, and team members.

Job Purpose

To perform laboratory investigations accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with quality standards, laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and prescribed turnaround times (TAT).

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, process, and analyze patient samples.

• Perform laboratory tests as per SOPs and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to TAT.

• Perform Internal & External Quality Control (IQC/EQC) activities.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

• Monitor reagent and consumable inventory and ensure proper utilization.

• Maintain laboratory documentation and patient records.

• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols.

• Report critical values and non-conformities to the concerned authority.

• Coordinate effectively with Pathologists, clinicians, and team members.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with organizational policies.

Qualification

• DMLT / BMLT / MLT or equivalent qualification.

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in a Diagnostic Laboratory, Hospital Laboratory, or Pathology Laboratory.

Preferred Skills
