Job description

Performance Marketing Gurugram Full-time 1-5 years experience

About the Role

We are looking for a performance-driven Media Buyer with strong hands-on experience in Meta Ads campaign strategy, execution, optimisation, creative testing, tracking, reporting, and lead-quality improvement. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing the complete paid advertising lifecycle - from research and campaign planning to creative coordination, technical tracking, optimisation, reporting, and scaling. This role requires someone who can think beyond basic campaign management and take ownership of business outcomes such as lead quality, sales, CPA, CPL, ROAS, conversion rate, and overall advertising efficiency.

What You'll Do
1. Research & Media Buying Strategy
  • Research new advertising trends, strategies, tools, features, and opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor research across websites, Meta Ads, creatives, videos, offers, messaging, and targeting approaches.
  • Research new ad angles, hooks, audience segments, content ideas, and campaign concepts.
  • Analyse previous campaign performance before planning new campaigns.
  • Identify new audiences, interests, behaviours, lookalikes, and retargeting opportunities.
  • Identify products, services, offers, or market opportunities that can be promoted through paid advertising.
  • Build campaign strategies based on business objectives such as lead generation, sales, traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Plan campaign structures, budgets, audiences, placements, creatives, and testing frameworks before launch.
  • Stay updated with Meta Ads changes, features, tools, and platform best practices.
2. Meta Business Manager & Account Management
  • Manage access to Meta Business Manager / Business Portfolio, Ad Accounts, Facebook Pages, Instagram Accounts, Pixels, Datasets, Catalogues, and other required Meta assets.
  • Verify that all required assets are properly connected before starting campaigns.
  • Maintain records of account access, permissions, and assigned assets.
  • Monitor account restrictions, disabled assets, rejected ads, and account-quality issues.
  • Escalate critical account, policy, or access‑related issues when necessary.
3. Campaign Planning, Setup & Execution
  • Create and launch Meta Ads campaigns according to approved strategies.
  • Select appropriate campaign objectives based on the required business outcome.
  • Build and manage campaigns, ad sets, and advertisements with proper campaign structure.
  • Configure target audiences, locations, placements, budgets, and optimisation settings.
  • Manage prospecting, remarketing, and retargeting campaigns.
  • Build and manage custom audiences based on website visitors, customer lists, social engagement, and existing data sources.
  • Create lookalike audiences where relevant.
  • Apply appropriate audience exclusions to minimise audience overlap and wasted ad spend.
  • Complete campaign QA/checklists before launch and ensure campaigns launch on agreed timelines.
  • Write performance-focused ad copies based on audience, offer, creative angle, and campaign objective.
  • Develop hooks and scripts for paid video advertisements.
  • Research and test new creative angles, hooks, CTAs, messaging approaches, and ad formats.
  • Prepare clear briefs for designers, video editors, and content teams.
  • Manage creative requirements including static ads, videos, GIFs, memes, UGC, and other formats.
  • Coordinate with Design, Content, and Video teams.
  • Analyse winning creatives, maintain records of winning creatives/hooks/messaging/angles, and identify creative fatigue.
  • Ensure all advertising creatives follow brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
5. UGC & AI Video Management
  • Manage the complete UGC workflow including research, concept development, scriptwriting, feedback, and editing coordination.
  • Write and refine UGC scripts based on campaign objectives and audience behaviour.
  • Review UGC drafts, coordinate revisions, and coordinate raw material with the editing team.
  • Manage AI‑generated video requirements and research new AI video tools, formats, and concepts.
  • Ensure AI‑generated advertising content follows campaign and brand guidelines.
6. Meta Pixel, CAPI & Conversion Tracking
  • Ensure Meta Pixel is correctly installed and connected.
  • Set up and verify conversion events (Page View, View Content, Lead, Contact, Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout, Purchase, WhatsApp Click).
  • Coordinate with developers for tracking implementation and Conversion API (CAPI) when required.
  • Test and verify events before campaigns go live and ensure conversions record correctly in Meta Ads Manager.
  • Identify discrepancies between Meta Ads, GA4, CRM, website, and other reporting platforms.
  • Ensure tracking continues working after website or landing‑page changes, and maintain tracking documentation.
  • Monitor assigned Meta advertising accounts daily.
  • Track KPIs such as CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA, ROAS, Frequency, Conversion Rate, Spend, and Conversions.
  • Analyse campaign, ad set, audience, placement, and creative performance.
  • Scale winning campaigns while maintaining CPL/CPA, and pause or descale poor performers.
  • Refresh creatives on fatigue, monitor audience fatigue and frequency, and test audiences, structures, placements, offers, creatives, and messaging.
  • Optimise budgets based on performance and investigate sudden changes in spend, CPM, CTR, CPC, leads, or conversions.
  • Maintain records of major optimisation decisions and their impact.
8. Budget Management
  • Monitor daily and monthly campaign budgets and ensure spend stays within approved limits.
  • Compare actual spend with planned budgets and identify under/over‑spending campaigns.
  • Recommend budget allocation based on performance and monitor ad account balance and payment issues.
  • Ensure campaigns do not stop due to insufficient balance, and maintain records of major budget changes.
9. Lead Quality & Business Performance
  • Evaluate lead quality, not just lead volume.
  • Coordinate with clients and sales teams to understand lead quality, lead status, and sales conversions.
  • Identify campaigns, audiences, and creatives generating high‑quality leads.
  • Investigate irrelevant, duplicate, or poor‑quality leads and compare Meta Ads conversions against actual CRM/sales data.
  • Use CRM and sales insights to improve media‑buying decisions and reduce wasted spend.
  • Analyse the customer journey from ad click to lead and, wherever possible, lead to final sale.
10. Landing Pages, Offers & CRO
  • Coordinate campaign‑specific website offers, promotions, banners, thumbnails, sale creatives, and promotional assets.
  • Ensure landing‑page messaging matches the advertising campaign and coordinate website changes during promotions.
  • Review landing pages, identify conversion issues, and recommend improvements to headlines, CTAs, forms, offers, structure, and content.
  • Monitor landing‑page conversion rates, identify drop‑offs, and coordinate CRO experiments with relevant teams.
11. Reporting & Performance Analysis
  • Prepare accurate daily and monthly campaign reports.
  • Analyse performance trends, improvements, declines, and opportunities.
  • Highlight what worked, what did not, and the possible reasons for performance changes.
  • Provide actionable recommendations, compare against previous periods and KPIs, and maintain historical records.
  • Share important campaign learnings with internal stakeholders.
12. Cross-Functional Team Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager for requirements, timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Work with Design, Video, Content, Social Media, Web Development, and SEO teams.
  • Provide clear creative and campaign briefs, follow up on pending assets, and ensure tasks complete on time.
  • Escalate important campaign, creative, tracking, or website issues when required.
13. Junior Media Buyer Training & Management
  • Provide project briefings to Junior Media Buyers and explain objectives, audiences, offers, and workflows.
  • Guide juniors on campaign setup and optimisation and share learnings and best practices.
  • Review juniors' work, identify repeated mistakes, and provide corrective guidance.
  • Help juniors understand performance data and optimisation decisions.
14. Documentation & Creative Asset Management
  • Maintain organised campaign and creative folders and correctly store creatives, videos, UGC, scripts, and research.
  • Follow proper file-naming conventions and maintain records of approved and winning assets.
  • Update creative and Post ID tracking sheets and maintain campaign performance and client master sheets.
  • Document major campaign requirements, approvals, and changes.
  • Continuously test new campaign strategies, audiences, creative formats, offers, hooks, messaging, placements, and budget strategies.
  • Analyse testing results, implement successful strategies, and maintain records of experiments and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve CTR, Conversion Rate, CPL, CPA, ROAS, and Lead Quality.
  • Stay updated with new Meta Ads tools, targeting capabilities, and advertising developments.
16. Meta Advertising Policy & Account Quality
  • Ensure advertisements comply with Meta advertising policies.
  • Monitor rejected ads, restricted campaigns, disabled assets, and account‑quality issues.
  • Investigate reasons for ad rejection and ensure creatives, copy, landing pages, and offers meet requirements.
  • Avoid misleading claims, inaccurate offers, or unapproved information.
  • Resolve policy-related issues promptly and elevate serious restrictions where necessary.
