Job summary

Cineverse in Kolkata is seeking a Media Asset Operator to receive media files (audio, video, subtitles) and manage them on the network, archiving when completed. The role suits someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, and has a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.

You will handle file transfers with Aspera, Signiant and S3, perform quality control against specifications, and coordinate with QC, Project Management, and Tech teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a post-production media environment.
• Familiarity with Aspera, Signiant and S3 delivery platforms.
• Knowledge of metadata/XML creation and verification.
• Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of audio/video formats and electronic delivery platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Access video incoming/outgoing files using file transfer clients such as Aspera, Signiant, S3.
• Manage files and data on the server in an efficient and timely manner.
• Perform quality control on incoming video assets against a given specification.
• Address and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Communicate with internal departments (QC, Project Management, Tech, etc.)
• Willingness to learn and undertake additional department duties as required

Overview

Media asset ("Incoming and Outgoing") operators work with clients to receive media files (audio, video, subtitles) and to manage them on the network and archive them when work is completed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting.
