Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver compliant mechanical designs for local and international standards, including ME and UK regions.

You will perform HVAC, ventilation, plumbing and firefighting designs, run calculations with Hevacomp/HAP/IES, and support project delivery while coordinating with Architecture, Civil and Structural teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical engineering or design role within consultancy.
• Experience using BIM and Revit for project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mechanical design to local and international standards (ME, UK region).
• Undertake design of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Carry out mechanical calculations using Hevacomp, HAP, IES or equivalent software.
• Complete projects within time and cost targets.
• Assist Team Leader/Senior Engineer in presenting design solutions to clients and contractors.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Civil and Structural disciplines.

Your Role

• Undertake Mechanical design to local and international standards, including ME, UK region.
• Understand and apply British / European, ME and Atkins standards.
• Undertake design of a variety of Mechanical design elements i.e. Air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing and firefighting designs.
• Carry out Mechanical calculations using Hevacomp, HAP, IES and other equivalent software.
• Responsible for completion of projects within his/her team to time and cost.
• Assist the Team leader/Senior Engineer in presenting design solutions in meeting with clients and contractors;
• Coordinate with all other disciplines and improve inter-discipline working with other disciplines such as Architecture, Civil and Structural.

About You

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Previous mechanical engineering or design role within consultancy.
• Experience in Revit and delivered projects using BIM skills.
