AtkinsRéalis Mumbai office is seeking an experienced Mechanical BIM Designer with at least five years of BIM/CAD experience to deliver high-quality outputs on international projects. You will work on multi-disciplinary schemes, focusing on Revit and AutoCAD-based modelling and coordination.

The role involves preparing mechanical layouts, SLDs for ventilation and piping, and ensuring compliance with QA/QC procedures while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering from a recognised institute.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in BIM design.
• Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD; familiar with BIM workflows.
• Able to interpret engineering calculations and technical reports; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex mechanical drawings and layouts using BIM/CAD.
• Develop fully coordinated 3D models of mechanical systems in Revit.
• Create ventilation, piping and mechanical schematics; ensure QA/QC alignment.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across regions.

Atkins Global Technology Centre (GTC) is seeking an experienced Mechanical BIM Designer with 5 years of experience to join our Mumbai office. This role involves working on multi-disciplinary projects, focusing on delivering high-quality BIM and CAD outputs that meet international standards. Opportunities within our team range from consultancy services to client-side project delivery, as well as site supervision and operations, offering diverse responsibilities and exposure to global projects.

Your Role

Essential to have experience working with Revit/ AutoCAD /BIM Related software

Self – motivated, capable of preparing complex drawings

Responsible for completion of tasks assigned.

Exposure to UK, India, Middle East, APAC region and other international standards

Preparation of Mechanical layouts and schematics/SLD for ventilation, chilled water, gas, LTHW layouts using BIM/CAD

Responsible for fully coordinated 3D modelling of mechanical systems using Revit and other BIM related software’s

Knowledge of BIM standards and Revit Family Creations

Responsible for compliance with Atkins QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures.

Shall ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned tasks between all the disciplines.

About You

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical engineering or other equivalent from recognised institutes and with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.

Shall be proficient in Revit MEP, AUTOCAD, and shall have delivered projects on Revit BIM platform in the last 3 years.

Able to interpret engineering calculations and be able to understand technical reports

Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both written and verbal.

Exposure to UK, India, Middle East, APAC region and other international standards
