Job summary

Nesans Mining and Automation Pvt Ltd, a Coimbatore-based manufacturer of crushing, screening, washing and mineral processing equipment, is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Madukkarai facility. You will perform inspections, maintain quality records and support CAPA investigations.

The role requires a BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 0-2 years of QA/QC experience in heavy fabrication or capital equipment, with hands-on measurement tools and GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-2 years QA/QC experience in heavy fabrication, capital equipment, crushing/screening or machine building preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge) and drawing interpretation with GD&T.
• Familiarity with weld inspection; NDT Level II or ISO 9001 internal auditor certification is an advantage.
• Location: Madukkarai, Coimbatore region preferred.

• Carry out stage-wise and final inspection of fabricated structures, machined components and bought-out items against drawings and specifications.
• Perform incoming material inspection (plates, sections, castings, bearings, motors) and verify material test certificates.
• Inspect weld quality, dimensional accuracy and fitment during fabrication and assembly; ensure adherence to WPS and IS standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, rework records and quality documentation in ERP.
• Coordinate with design, production and suppliers for resolution of non-conformances and root cause analysis (CAPA).
• Support pre-dispatch inspection and customer/third-party inspections.
