Job summary

JOB -xz Services in Gurugram seeks a Senior Engineer Quality to lead supplier inspections and verify product conformity for components across India. You will report to the Manager Quality, Services (India), with frequent travel to supplier sites.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years in supplier quality or manufacturing inspection, a Mechanical engineering background, and strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, castings, NDT, and GD&T.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8–12 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing inspection.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, castings, forgings, and assemblies.
• Proficient in reading drawings, tolerances, GD&T, BOMs, and technical specs.
• Working knowledge of NDT methods UT, MT, PT, VT.
• Strong documentation, reporting and traceability discipline.
• Experience in supplier management, RCA/CAPA, and travel-intensive inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier inspections from raw material to final dispatch readiness for fabricated, machined, cast, forged, and bought-out components as per drawings, ITPs, and specifications.
• Verify dimensions, GD&T, welding, fit-up, coating, marking, and preservation requirements.
• Review MTCs, dimensional reports, calibration records, heat treatment, and NDT documentation.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, VT) as required.
• Release inspection reports and NCRs, ensuring timely closure.
• Drive supplier follow-up on corrective actions and continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, and planning teams to resolve quality issues.
