Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering.
• Master’s in Product Design is desirable.
• Strong interest in product design and development.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical components, plastics, and metals.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to visualize functional aspects of a design.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conceptualizing, designing, and developing mechanical products under guidance.
• Support the product development process from idea generation to prototype realization.
• Create and modify CAD models and basic engineering drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of designs in real‑time conditions.
• Assist in preparing BOMs, documentation, and design specifications for manufacturing processes.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to understand design intent and production feasibility.
• Observe and assist in vendor coordination and prototype development activities.

About the Internship

We are looking for passionate and curious Mechanical Product Design Interns who are eager to learn, experiment, and contribute to real-world product development. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to the complete product lifecycle—from ideation to prototyping and manufacturing support—within a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist in conceptualizing, designing, and developing mechanical products under the guidance of senior engineers and designers.
• Support the product development process from idea generation to prototype realization.
• Create and modify CAD models and basic engineering drawings using tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Actively Participate & Support in prototyping, testing, and validation of designs in real‑time conditions.
• Assist in preparing BOMs, documentation, and design specifications for manufacturing processes including plastics, sheet metal and casting.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand design intent, engineering constraints, and production feasibility.
• Observe and assist in vendor coordination and prototype development activities.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical product design.

• Basic understanding of FEA / mechanical simulations
• Awareness of thermal analysis or CFD concepts
• Exposure to product patents, technology trends, or innovation research
