Job summary

Inventindia Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a passionate Hardware Design Engineer Intern in Ahmedabad to join our engineering team. This role offers hands-on exposure to electronic hardware design, PCB development, and product development processes, working closely with experienced engineers on real-world projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong academic foundation in electronics or embedded systems and basic knowledge of embedded systems, CAD tools, and communication protocols. You will gain valuable experience and mentorship in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols.
  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of schematic design and PCB design concepts.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools.
  • Basic knowledge of power electronics, SMPS is a plus.
  • Understanding of IoT applications and wireless technologies preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.
  • Prior academic projects or internships in hardware design.
  • Strong academic foundation in electronics and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electronic hardware products.
  • Support schematic design, component selection, and BOM preparation.
  • Assist in PCB layout reviews and hardware debugging.
  • Participate in PCB bring-up, testing, and validation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support hardware integration.
  • Help create and maintain design documentation.
  • Perform hardware testing using laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware-related issues.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies.
  • Participate in project discussions and provide updates.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Hardware Design Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to electronic hardware design, PCB development, embedded systems, and product development processes. The intern will work closely with experienced hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers on real‑world projects and gain practical industry experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of electronic hardware products.
  • Support schematic design, component selection, and BOM preparation.
  • Assist in PCB layout reviews and hardware debugging activities.
  • Participate in PCB bring‑up, testing, and validation.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to support integration of hardware with firmware and mechanical systems.
  • Help create and maintain design documentation, reports, and technical records.
  • Perform hardware testing using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and function generators.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware‑related issues and support root‑cause analysis.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for product improvements.
  • Participate in project discussions and provide progress updates to the team.
Desired Skills
  • Basic understanding of Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex‑based controllers, Arduino, etc.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, or RS‑485.
  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of schematic design and PCB design concepts.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as KiCad, Altium, Eagle, or similar software.
  • Basic knowledge of power electronics, SMPS, or communication circuits is a plus.
  • Understanding of IoT applications and wireless technologies such as Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or GSM is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Final‑year students or recent graduates pursuing/completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
  • Strong academic foundation in electronics and embedded systems.
  • Prior academic projects, internships, or hands‑on experience in hardware design will be an added advantage.
