Job summary

AARTI INDUSTRIES LTD. in India is seeking an experienced Mechanical Excellence specialist for manufacturing verticals. You will engage in plant maintenance, reliability initiatives and procurement support, evaluating bids, establishing equipment standards and driving cost optimization with safety as a priority.

The role requires 5–10 years of plant maintenance experience and a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical. You will coordinate with MOC/Operations, implement value engineering, and mentor new joiners

Qualifications

• Experience 5-10 yrs in plant maintenance.
• BE / B.Tech (Mechanical) required.
• Certifications/trainings in maintenance, reliability and asset management.
• Behavioural: self-confidence, integrity, flexibility, teamwork and good communication.
• Functional areas: reliability engineering, maintenance management, technical evaluation & vendor management, analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to MOC and Operation Team with inputs on mechanical engineering, equipment selection and technical assistance during MOC preparation and budgeting.
• Analyze equipment failures and root causes with zonal team to implement reliability improvements.
• Prepare technical specifications and scope of work with operation/MOC team; evaluate bids/offers for packages and equipment; recommend procurement.
• Ensure 100% adherence for first-time right technical bid evaluation.
• Perform technical evaluations and recommendations for procurement of equipment within defined SLA.
• Suggest value engineering for equipment reliability and cost savings.
• Coordinate for mechanical support & services as needed.
• Develop equipment standards, vendor assessments and hygiene checks of item codes.
• Standardize equipment during life cycle replacement of parts.
• Develop new business partners focusing on cost optimization without compromising safety & quality.
• Review design adequacies from safety, quality and reliability perspectives.
• Explore value engineering options during PDS/GAD/MDS reviews and related documents.
• Demonstrate safety-first behavior to achieve zero incidents.
• Initiate system changes (S/4HANA module, ivalua, MDO) as needed.
• Provide system/functional training to new joiners.
• Extract reports on PR to PO cycle or MM modules; generate monthly/quarterly MIS for the team.
• Check UTS and VTS for bids submitted by commercial team for ARC preparation.

Job description

• -Provide support to MOC and OperationTeam by right inputs in terms of mechanical engineering,selection of equipment and technical assistance during MOC preparation and Budgeting.

• -Primary will be responsible for preparation of technical specification & scope of work in consultation with operation/moc team, technical evaluation of Bids/offers of Packages and equipments & recommendation for procurement of plant equipments.
• -100% Adherence for First time Right Technical Bid Evaluation.
• -Should able to do technical evaluation and give technical recommendations for Procurement of equiments within defined SLA.
• -Value Engineering suggestions to improve the relability of the equipments and cost saving initiative.
• -Ensure timely procurement with right Quality, cost and timelines.
• -Co-ordinate for mechanical support & services as and when required
• -Develop equipment standards and vendor assessment & Hygiene check of item codes
• -Standardization of Equipments where replacement of Equipment or spares is required during life cycle
• -Development of new business partners (w.r.t. Cost optimization without compromising safety & quality).
• -Check design adequacies from safety, quality & reliability standpoint .
• -Explore Value engineering options during the review PDS/GAD/MDS and etc. relevant documents
• -Demonstrate "safety first" behaviour to ensure "zero safety incidents"
• -Should initiate changes required in current system(i.e. S4 HANA module, ivalua and MDO).
