To lead and manage mechanical execution activities at the site, ensuring installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment are completed as per the project schedule, safety, and quality requirements. Acts as a bridge between planning, engineering, QA/QC, and subcontractors for mechanical scope delivery.
Lead execution of mechanical works, including equipment erection, piping, structural fabrication, welding, hydro testing, and commissioning. Ensure execution is as per drawings, technical specifications, and method statements. Supervise and coordinate with mechanical engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to achieve daily targets. Plan and monitor resource utilization (manpower, materials, tools) for effective site operations. Participate in client/consultant meetings, walkthroughs, and ensure timely closure of observations. Support testing and commissioning teams during final handover phases. Implement and maintain HSE and quality standards during execution activities. Maintain proper documentation – inspection reports, weld logs, test packs, and daily progress reports. Coordinate with planning, stores, and procurement for material availability and work front readiness. Review fabrication/erection drawings and resolve technical/site-related issues with engineering support.
