Job summary

PACCAR India seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Pune team, focusing on the design and development of exhaust systems, sheet metal brackets, and casting components. You will apply Creo Parametric and Windchill to create robust designs, support prototypes, and ensure manufacturability and durability according to engineering standards.

The role requires 1–4 years in automotive, proficiency in Creo/Windchill, and a strong grasp of GD&T and assembly design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, automotive or production engineering.
• 1–4 years hands-on experience in the automotive industry; truck domain advantageous.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, casting, and manufacturing processes.
• In-depth knowledge of exhaust systems.
• Ability to design/manage large assemblies using top-down/bottom-up methods.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and drawing standards.
• Experience in tool clearance, reliability, and ergonomic evaluations.
• Proven ability to collaborate with local and global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design and development of exhaust systems.
• Develop robust sheet metal, and casting designs with a strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:
