Job summary

JobItUs in Chennai, India is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman for detailed drawings and coordinated layouts of water treatment plant systems. You will use AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools to reflect engineering inputs and ensure design accuracy.

The role requires 5+ years in water treatment drafting, strong reading of technical drawings, and good communication with civil, structural, and process teams. On-site work with local standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in the water treatment sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and P&ID; knowledge of Revit/Navisworks/BIM tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of pumping stations and MEP systems in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Strong understanding of pumping stations and MEP systems in water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASME, NFPA, IEC).
• Experience with 3D modeling and clash detection.
