Job summary

Four S Hr Partners in Chennai, India seeks a Mechanical Draughtsman with strong AutoCAD experience for Water Treatment projects. You will prepare mechanical, piping, GA, and isometric drawings for water treatment plants and pumping stations using AutoCAD and related tools.

The role requires 5–12 years in water treatment, good knowledge of P&ID, GA and isometric drawings, and collaboration with Civil, Structural, Process and MEP teams to ensure clash-free designs.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5–12 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in water treatment.
• Experience with AutoCAD-based drawings for water treatment plants and pumping stations.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering inputs and updating drawings per revisions.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman with a strong background in the Water & Wastewater Treatment industry. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing detailed mechanical and piping drawings for water treatment plants and pumping stations using AutoCAD and related drafting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical, piping, GA, and isometric drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layouts for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations.
• Interpret engineering inputs and update drawings as per design revisions.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Process, and MEP teams for clash-free designs.
• Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and as-built drawings.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5~12 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in the Water Treatment industry.
• Must be currently working in the Water Treatment / Wastewater Treatment Industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, P&ID, GA & Isometric Drawings, and piping drafting.
• Good understanding of Water Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, and MEP systems.
• Experience with Revit, BIM, Navisworks, or other 3D modeling tools.
• Knowledge of ASME, NFPA, IEC standards.
• Experience in MEP works and Pumping Stations.
• Good command of written & spoken English and coordination skills.
