Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an Engineer - MTBD to drive validation for diesel/CNG engine projects. You will finalize DVP at component and engine levels, and work on crankcase, cylinder head, FEAD, valve train, and intake/exhaust layouts.

You will interact with suppliers for DVPO requirements, collaborate with the design team for corrective actions from field data, perform tear down and wear analysis, and contribute to DFMEA and design reviews of engine systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate Mechanical Engineering with domain expertise in diesel/CNG engines.
• Experience in failure analysis and DVP execution.
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving.
• Familiar with DFMEA and engine systems.
• Strong teamwork and ability to interface with suppliers and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Finalize and execute DVP at component and engine levels.
• Cover crankcase, cylinder head, FEAD, valve train, intake & exhaust layouts.
• Collaborate with suppliers to finalize DVP requirements.
• Coordinate with design team for corrective actions from field failure analysis.
• Conduct tear down and wear analysis of engine components.
• Perform design reviews and DFMEA for engine systems.

Engineer - MTBD Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Responsible for DVP finalization and execution - Component level and Engine level.
• Crankcase, cylinder head, FEAD, valve train, Intake & Exhaust layout etc
• Interaction with supplier finalizing the component level DVPO requirement and execution of DVP.
• Interaction with design team for design corrections based on field failure analysis.
• Tear down and wear analysis for the engine components.
• Design review and DFMEA for the engine systems.

Qualifications

Graduate Mechanical Engineering General Requirements Technical domain expertise - Mechanical devbelopment domain for diesel/CNG engines (Failure analysis & DVP execution) Good Team player Understanding of the Mechanical development approach - Failure analysis tools. Understanding of failure analysis - 8D preparation Knoweldege of different engine systems Should have knowledge of the different manufacturing process Should know about the interface vehicle systems Familiar with the different application requirements
