Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own DVP finalization and wear analysis for diesel/CNG engines. You will collaborate with suppliers and design teams to ensure robust engine components through DFMEA and failure analysis.

Qualifications

• Mechanical development domain knowledge for diesel/CNG engines (failure analysis & DVP execution).
• Strong team player.
• Understanding of mechanical development approach and failure analysis tools.
• Familiar with 8D problem solving.
• Knowledge of various engine systems.
• Familiar with different manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of interface vehicle systems.
• Familiar with application requirements.
• Knowledge of DVP requirements for engine systems.
• Knowledge of aftertreatment system.
• Expert in failure analysis methods such as fishbone diagram and 8D.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for DVP finalization and execution at component level and engine level.

• Responsible for DVP finalization and execution - Component level and Engine level. - Crankcase, cylinder head, FEAD, valve train, Intake & Exhaust layout etc
• Interaction with supplier finalizing the component level DVPO requirement and execution of DVP.
• Interaction with design team for design corrections based on field failure analysis.
• Tear down and wear analysis for the engine components.
• Design review and DFMEA for the engine systems.
