Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the automobile mechanical development domain to drive engine component validation and DFMEA. You will finalize DVP at component and engine levels, while coordinating with suppliers and design teams to resolve field failure issues.

You will perform tear downs and wear analyses, contribute to design reviews, and ensure proper interface with manufacturing processes and application requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of diesel/CNG engines and failure analysis tools
• Experience in DVP execution and early validation
• Familiar with 8D problem solving and fishbone diagrams
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and engine interfaces

Responsibilities

• Finalize and execute DVP at component and engine level (crankcase, cylinder head, FEAD, valve train, intake & exhaust layouts).
• Interact with suppliers to finalize DVP requirements and execution.
• Collaborate with design team for corrections based on field failure analysis.
• Tear down and wear analysis for engine components.
• Design reviews and DFMEA for engine systems.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Responsible for DVP finalization and execution - Component level and Engine level. - Crankcase, cylinder head, FEAD, valve train, Intake & Exhaust layout etc
• Interaction with supplier finalizing the component level DVPO requirement and execution of DVP.
• Interaction with design team for design corrections based on field failure analysis.
• Tear down and wear analysis for the engine components.
• Design review and DFMEA for the engine systems.

Experience

3 to 5 years

Industry Preferred

Automobile - Mechanical development domain

• Technical domain expertise - Mechanical devbelopment domain for diesel/CNG engines (Failure analysis & DVP execution)
• Good Team player
• Understanding of the Mechanical development approach - Failure analysis tools.
• Understanding of failure analysis - 8D preparation
• Knoweldege of different engine systems
• Should have knowledge of the different manufacturing process
• Should know about the interface vehicle systems
• Familiar with the different application requirements

Functional Competencies:

• Diesel / CNG Engine development domain core experties - Failure analysis & DVP execution
• Knowledge of different DVP requirement for engine systems
• Knowledge of After treatment system
• Expert in failure analysis - Fishbone diagram, 8D preparation.
