Senior Design Engineer (Heat Treatment Industry)

Position: Senior Design Engineer

Industry: Heat Treatment Equipment Manufacturing

Experience: 6+ Years

Qualification: ITI / Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical (Strictly No B.E./B.Tech Candidates)

Software: AutoCAD & SolidWorks (Mandatory)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in designing Heat Treatment Furnaces, Industrial Heating Equipment, and related mechanical systems. The candidate should be capable of independently handling complete design activities from concept development to manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Heat Treatment Furnaces and industrial heating equipment.
• Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Develop assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and detailed component drawings.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Project teams for smooth execution.
• Review customer specifications and convert them into practical design solutions.
• Select suitable materials considering operating temperatures and thermal performance.
• Ensure designs comply with quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement design improvements.
• Optimize existing products to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor junior design engineers and review their work.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Excellent knowledge of fabrication drawings and sheet metal design.
• Understanding of welding processes, mechanical assemblies, and industrial fabrication.
• Knowledge of industrial furnaces, refractory materials, insulation systems, burners, and heat transfer concepts will be an added advantage.
• Ability to interpret customer drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
