Job summary

Stellarsight Technology Solutions is seeking a mechanical design engineer to design sheet metal, machined and casting parts, and systems according to requirements. You will create CAD drawings, apply GD&T, and select welding and surface finishes as per drawings.

The role involves collaborating with clients and vendors, preparing technical reports, and contributing to ongoing design improvements. Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor is required, with strong teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing knowledge and application.
• SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor proficiency for part and assembly design.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal, machined, and casting parts and systems per requirements.
• Develop ideas for improvement of existing designs.
• Create CAD drawings and specifications per manufacturing guidelines.
• Apply GD&T to drawings and specifications.
• Select welding and surface finish per drawing.
• Prepare project reports on technical aspects and weekly reviews.
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulations.

• Design sheet metal, machined & casting parts and systems as per requirements.
• Create ideas for improvement of existing design
• Creating CAD drawings and specifications of products as per manufacturing guidelines.
• Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing knowledge & application
• Welding & surface finish selection as per drawing
• Preparing projects reports for technical aspects as well as weekly project reviews
• Staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform design calculations as needed for new design.
• Participating in meetings with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand their needs
• FEA analysis skills would be plus

Skills:

• Any 3D CAD software expertise (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor)
• 2D and 3D designing methods
• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts & production technologies
• Effective communication skills, teamwork and problem-solving skills
