VR Automation in Pune is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to lead mechanical design in automation equipment. You will create 3D models, prepare drawings and BOM, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on CAD work (Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, SolidWorks), PLM familiarity (Vault/NAV), and design optimization for standardization and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge and SolidWorks.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and related design tools.
• Experience in design and engineering in similar OEMs.
• Familiar with PLM software Vault and NAV.

Responsabilités

• Release drawings and BOM based on OC, GAD and P&ID.
• Site visits to learn equipment and understand customer needs.
• Release peripheral equipment based on equipment data sheets.
• Calculations to support design changes.
• Calculations to support design validation in new development projects.
• Identify substitutes and standardize products to reduce variants.
• Conduct review meetings with stakeholders to avoid ambiguity.
• Interact with team to meet and optimize product design requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Release of drawings & BOM based on the final OC, Approved GAD and P&ID.
• Site visit for learning equipment and understand the customer needs.
• Release of peripheral equipment based on equipment data sheets.
• Calculations to support design changes made in existing machines.
• Calculations to support design validation in new development projects.
• Up-to-date knowledge of new/alternate products to be used as substitute for existing parts.
• Standardization of existing products to reduce the variants.
• Conduct review meetings with all stakeholders for modifications/ new products to avoid ambiguity.

Interact with other team members to meet and optimize product design requirements.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Hands on experience in 3D modelling in Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, Solid Works etc.
• Hands on experience in Auto-cad.
• Experience in design and engineering in similar OEMs.

Experience in PLM Soft wares (Vault & NAV).
