Job summary

Pure Machine Design is seeking a Design Engineer in Pune with 2-4 years of hands-on product development experience. You will craft structural components, 3D models, and detailed drawings for SPMs, automation layouts, and plant fixtures, ensuring quality compliance.

You will evaluate components, drive design reviews, and collaborate with project teams to deliver robust engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BE / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2-4 years of experience in design and development.
• Hands-on with 3D CAD software and drafting practices.

Responsibilities

• Create structural concepts and system designs per project plans.
• Develop concept models and detailed drawings for SPMs, automation layouts, plant layouts, welding fixtures, assemblies, BOMs.
• Select bought-out components such as pumps and motors as needed.
• Interpret data and ensure designs meet QA requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and present technical information to stakeholders.

Work Experience Requirement

• Hands-on experience in product development.
• Experience in SPM Design, Automation Industry, BIW Fixture Robotic Lines, Plant Engineering or Process Industry.
• Active involvement in designing structural parts, mechanisms and engineering drawings.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for structural component concepts and system design deliveries as per project plan.
• Develop concept models and detailed drawings for SPMs, automation layouts, plant layouts, welding fixtures, assemblies, part details, BOMs, etc.
• Select suitable bought-out components such as pumps, hydraulic/electric motors, sensors, torque arms, etc. as per design requirements.
• Collect and interpret engineering data and ensure that designs are carried out in accordance with quality assurance requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and effectively present designs and technical information to stakeholders and managers.
• Develop creative and practical design solutions to engineering problems and prepare 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Follow ISO standards, departmental and customer best practices, and relevant design standards while delivering projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
