Skills Required
- Technical ability to create Engineering Drawings, and 3D model assemblies with the application of GDT, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Engineering Practices and Design Principles.
- Understanding of conceptualization / Concept development and detailed Engineering Design.
- Understanding of various manufacturing processes like Plastics / Sheet Metal / Fabrication / Casting / Rapid prototyping.
- Capability to handle assigned tasks individually with good communication skills.
- Good understanding of Engineering Change process and Product Data Management.
- Good Analytical and Communication Skills.
- Understanding of FMEA / DFM / GDT / Tolerance Stack up.
- Knowledge of Skeletal modeling / Top-Down and Bottom-up approach / using Configurations and Family Tables would be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements and work with different teams.
- Create design concepts and drawings to determine the best product and maintain technical compatibility to develop concepts into real products.
- Implement new ideas in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming.
- Perform market research to understand market requirements and initiate innovative product development.
- Analyze new components, materials, and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all new product development.
- Consider manufacturability, cost, performance, and durability in design.
- Conduct design reviews to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
- Apply knowledge of GDT, stack-up analysis, and industrial standards such as ANSI, JIS, DIN, etc.
- Good knowledge of Tooling, fixtures, and jigs is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing/production/assembly processes is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience in various manufacturing processes is a plus.
