Job summary

Virginia-Georgia Transformer in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (L1-L3) with 4+ years of experience to design power transformers. You will work on mechanical components, 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced engineering setting.

The role demands strong CAD skills, thermal and vibration analysis, and familiarity with fabrication drawings and structural design. Full-time, on-site with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Power Transformer / Transformer Mechanical Design is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CAD tools, mechanical calculations, fabrication drawings and BOM preparation.
• Understanding of thermal analysis, vibration analysis, material properties and structural design.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for Power Transformers.
• Apply principles of mechanics, strength of materials, thermal and vibration analysis.
• Prepare accurate 2D/3D engineering drawings using CAD tools.
• Develop and maintain detailed BOMs.
• Design and review transformer structures, fabrication drawings and mechanical assemblies.
• Validate designs against customer specifications, engineering standards and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and other cross-functional teams.
• Deliver design activities within project timelines and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to standardization of transformer designs.

Virginia-Georgia Transformer is looking for passionate and technically strong Mechanical Design Engineers to join our engineering team and work on high-impact Power Transformer Design projects.

Position

Mechanical Design Engineer – Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3 I Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - L1 / L2

Experience: 4 + years

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-time

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop mechanical components for Power Transformers.
