Job summary

AKAS Medical Equipment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop and validate components for next‑generation medical devices. You will work across the product lifecycle with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust designs and documentation.

You will use Creo Parametric for 3D modeling, detailed drawings and BOM creation, applying GD&T and manufacturability concepts to deliver reliable medical equipment solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of mechanical design or product development experience.
• Hands-on plastic component design preferred.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, plastic parts, sub-assemblies, and complete product assemblies using Creo Parametric.
• Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs and maintain engineering documentation.
• Develop concepts from product specs and validate designs through testing.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase and R&D teams.

Your Role

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and improving mechanical components and plastic parts for next-generation medical devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the complete product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, plastic parts, sub-assemblies, and complete product assemblies usingCreo Parametric.
• Create accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Develop engineering concepts based on product specifications and functional requirements.
• Improve existing designs through prototype testing, validation, and manufacturing feedback.
• Apply GD&T, DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, and engineering best practices.
• Support prototype development, product validation, and functional testing.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, and R&D teams.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and design records.
