Job summary

ABHI FINE PRODUCTS is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to support the design and development of products and components in our manufacturing process. The role involves creating manufacturable, cost-effective CAD models and detailed drawings, while collaborating with production, quality, and R&D teams to meet industry standards.

Reporting To: Design Head. The candidate should have 1–5 years of experience, with strong CAD proficiency and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, assemblies, and tooling.
• Collaborate with production and process teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Interpret customer specifications, standards, and requirements to develop accurate design solutions.
• Perform design validation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, assembly instructions, and revision history.
• Support prototyping, testing, and pilot production activities.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to address product development and process improvement.

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, assemblies, and tooling using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Collaborate with production and process teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication).
• Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
