Job summary

Shree Mgs Consultancy Services Llp is seeking a Civil Laboratory Technician to perform material testing on cement, concrete, aggregates, soil and other construction materials in Surat. The role requires handling samples, following IS codes and SOPs, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, basic lab skills, and a willingness to learn in a NABL-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• Basic knowledge of construction material testing and relevant IS codes is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of construction materials such as cement, concrete, aggregates, soil, bricks, blocks, steel, bitumen, and asphalt.
• Prepare and identify samples as per applicable testing standards.
• Perform tests according to IS codes and laboratory SOPs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
• Record test observations, calculations, and results accurately.
• Prepare test reports and maintain laboratory records.
• Ensure NABL compliance and calibration checks.
• Check equipment calibration status before testing.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and follow safety guidelines.
• Report testing errors or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Coordinate with Quality Manager and Technical Manager.
• Ensure timely completion of testing activities.

• Good observation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate test records and reports.
• Willingness to learn and work in a laboratory environment.
• Candidates from Surat or nearby locations preferred.
