Job summary

Walplast Products is seeking a QA/QC specialist to conduct physical and chemical testing of building materials and maintain precise test records. The role includes monitoring raw materials, in-process and finished goods, handling customer complaints, and driving non-conformance investigations with RCA/CAPA.

Qualifications

• Education as listed: BSc Chemistry or Diploma/BE/MSC in Civil/Chemistry.
• 4–5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction materials.
• Knowledge of putty, tile adhesive, cement-based products, morta( r).

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and chemical testing of building materials.
• Perform routine laboratory testing and maintain test records.
• Monitor raw materials, in-process material and finished goods per specs.
• Handle customer complaints including root cause analysis and RCA/CAPA reports.
• Coordinate reprocessing/rework for non-conforming materials.
• Carry out internal and external audits and closure monitoring.
• Standardize product/process across plants for consistency.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports with observations and trends.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and records.
• Conduct trial batches and product evaluations for new materials and changes.
• Monitor quality trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, records, specs and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specs.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct physical and chemical testing of building materials such as putty, tile adhesive, cement-based products, mortar,
  and other construction materials.
• Perform routine laboratory testing as per applicable standard methods and maintain accurate records of test results.
• Monitor raw material, in-process material, and finished goods quality as per approved specifications.
• Handle customer complaints, including complaint investigation, site visits, sample evaluation, root cause analysis, and preparation of RCA/CAPA reports.
• Coordinate and monitor reprocessing/rework activities for non-conforming or off-specification materials and ensure quality verification before release.
• Conduct internal and external audits, including audit preparation, participation, observation reporting, CAPA generation, and closure monitoring.
• Carry out product and process standardization across manufacturing plants to ensure consistency in quality and performance.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports highlighting observations, deviations, trends, root causes, and recommendations.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments and ensure availability of valid calibration records.
• Conduct trial batches and product evaluations for new materials, formulations, raw materials, and process changes.
• Monitor quality trends and recurring deviations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain proper QA/QC documentation, records, specifications, test methods, and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Education - BSC Chemistry / Diploma in Civil / BE Civil / MSC Chemistry
Experience - 4-5 years of relevant experience
Product knowledge- putty, tile adhesive, cement-based products, morta.
