Job summary

Qualifications

• Exposure to ISO standards & procedures.
• Hands-on ERP SAP experience and MS Office proficiency.
• Understanding of overall supply chain procedures and cost analyses.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent and adequate supply of materials for production.
• Run MRP and PR/demand generation.
• Source vendors, issue RFI/RFQ/RFP and evaluate techno-commercial offers.
• Negotiate pricing and terms; prepare comparative statements.
• Create Purchase Orders in SAP per approved prices.
• Schedule and track orders; ensure timely delivery with follow-up.
• Plan JIT items and coordinate with Stores for GRN and storage.
• Maintain system integrity and manage inventory issues.
• Monitor stock levels; prepare reports on purchase, spend and inventory.
• Coordinate with other departments on production goals and timelines.

## Material BuyerApply: Pune-Maharashtra-India: Full time: Posted Today: End Date: November 4, 2026 (1 day left to apply): WD30283996**Job Description for Material Buyer**## **Summary*** Must have knowledge of Material requirement planning in a Manufacturing setup.* Preferably should have Experience in techno-commercial purchase of Direct material (DM), Indirect material (IDM) and services in a Manufacturing setup; Exposure to HVAC industry will be an added advantage.## **Responsibilities**· Ensuring consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.· Material requirement planning- MRP running & PR/ demand generation.· Study of Purchase Requisition- DM/IDM.. Research/ source potential vendors for required goods & services (DM/IDM) and Send RFI/ RFQ/ RFP (Request for Information/ Quotation/ Proposal) to the suppliers.· Compare and evaluate techno-commercial offers from suppliers.· Negotiate pricing & terms of agreement applicable to the Order and send Comparative statement for approval.· Converting Purchase requisitions to Purchase Order in SAP as per approved prices.· Scheduling, tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials with regular follow-up.· Just in time (JIT) items planning & scheduling.· Co-ordinate with Stores for on-time GRN and proper storage.· Maintaining System Hygiene and Manage inventory issues.· Monitor stock levels of consumables, hardware, and other C class items; place orders as needed to ensure availability.· Take lead in solving critical material shortage problems.· Rejection handling- Communicate to Supplier, tracking return material, informing supplier on returned material.
