## Senior Officer - Material PlanningApplylocations: India, Chennaitime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R00029977To ensure uninterrupted production by planning and controlling material availability, including imported materials, while optimizing inventory levels and coordinating with procurement, suppliers, and logistics teams.Roles & Responsibility:* Plan material requirements based on production schedules and forecasts* Run MRP and generate purchase requisitions on time and Monitor material availability (local & import) to avoid line stoppages.* Maintain optimal inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG as applicable)* MRP & System Management* Execute MRP in ERP systems (Oracle ERP)* Ensure master data accuracy (BOM, lead time, safety stock, MOQ)* Track planning exceptions (shortages, delays, excess stock)* Monitor shipment status (ETD, ETA) and ensure timely customs clearance* Ensure availability of import documentation: Invoice, Packing List, BOE, COO, etc.* Follow up on port clearance and inland transportation to plant* Regulatory & Compliance* Basic knowledge of import regulations, duties, and documentation* Coordinate for customs clearance and ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements* Support audit requirements related to import transactions* Follow up with overseas and domestic suppliers for on-time delivery* Monitor supplier performance and escalate delaysAlign with procurement team on order prioritization Production & Cross-functional Coordination Work closely with Production and Stores for material readiness Inventory Control: Control excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory***Come join our global, inclusive & diverse team***Our purpose is to improve the quality of life of everyone we touch through our innovative motion systems.
