Job summary

COLUMBIA Shipmanagement Ltd. is seeking an experienced shipping operations professional to monitor tanker vessel operations, oversee voyage orders, and ensure cargo compliance.

The role requires coordination with Operations, Technical, Crewing, Marine, Vetting, Commercial teams and timely reporting of issues. Candidates should have at least 5 years in the shipping industry, ideally as Chief Officer or Second Officer on tankers, with strong English communication and a collaborative, fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the shipping industry.
• Preferably Chief Officer or an experienced Second Officer with tanker vessel experience.
• Seagoing experience or relevant shore-based ship operations experience.
• Good understanding of tanker operations and the shipping industry.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Monitor vessel operations, voyage orders, and cargo compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Technical, Crewing, Marine, Vetting, Commercial, and other internal teams.
• Support Masters and vessel owners on operational matters, claims, and charter party requirements.
• Monitor trading areas, insurance requirements, and sanctions compliance.
• Coordinate vetting activities, inspections, and maintain operational records.
• Liaise with stakeholders regarding FuelEU/ETS requirements and vessel vetting status.
• Report operational issues and incidents to management in a timely manner.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant vessel operations.

Responsibilities
