Job summary

Marutee Design And Engineering Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced BIW/cabin structures engineer to design aluminium cabin frame, doors, glazing and driver seat for a four-wheel electric cargo vehicle.

Candidates should have 5–8 years in BIW or cabin design with interior or seating exposure, a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, and proficiency with CATIA V5 or Siemens NX and GD&T.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in BIW / cabin structure and closures design, with interior or seating exposure.
• Qualification: BE/B.Tech Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• Preferred BIW or cabin experience on commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Design an aluminium extrusion cabin frame (6060/6061-T6): door frames, finishers, flange plates and windshield supports.
• Develop a detachable door frame with half-door or sliding-door concept for ventilation.
• Design doors, door seals, PC/PMMA glazing, locks, latches and hinges.
• Design the windscreen seal and mounting (bonded or bolted); package mirrors and the wiper system.
• Design the floor panel, foot well, dashboard and cabin partition.
• Design the driver seat (aluminium frame, PU foam, trim cover) and its mounting.
• Package the HMI display, switches and driver comfort items.
• Run door-swing, sealing-gap and driver ergonomics checks (H-point, reach, ingress/egress, visibility); produce 2D drawings.

About the role

• Design an aluminium extrusion cabin frame (6060/6061-T6): door frames, finishers, flange plates and windshield supports.
• Develop a detachable door frame with half-door or sliding-door concept for ventilation.
• Design doors, door seals, PC/PMMA glazing, locks, latches and hinges.
