Job summary

L&T Energy-CarbonLite Solutions in India seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead turbine assembly projects, drive lean manufacturing, and coordinate across Design, Quality, and Projects teams. You will manage supervisors and technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery of critical turbine modules.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of turbine assembly processes (HP, IP, LP turbines, rotors, casings, diaphragms).
• Proficiency in interpretation of assembly drawings, tolerances, and engineering specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools (dial gauges, micrometers, laser alignment, torque tools).
• Understanding of critical fits, shrink fits, mandrel handling, and interference fits in turbine assembly.
• Knowledge of hydraulic tightening, torqueing, and bolt tensioning procedures.
• Awareness of special processes in assembly (heating, cooling, oil flushing, rotor balancing, barring gear trials).
• Familiarity with shop safety practices for heavy components and crane operations.
• Knowledge of welding, NDT, and quality standards relevant to turbine assembly.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting assembly issues and resolving dimensional deviations.
• Digitalization, Lean manufacturing
• Strong team management and ability to lead supervisors and technicians.
• Effective coordination and collaboration with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Projects).
• Problem-solving and decision-making under time and cost constraints.
