Responsibilities
- Product designing and creating manufacturing drawings for castings and machining to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.
- Drawing release and control; interpret engineering drawings and specifications; create manufacturing and process drawings.
- Support new product introduction and manufacturing feasibility studies; respond to standard customer inquiries regarding technical specifications.
- Work on ECR/MOC for effective change management implementation.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, CREO, etc.).
- Create General Arrangement (GA) drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed casting and machining drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PD&E, Sales, Application).
- Cost management: identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Project management; layout design and automation; space utilization to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Workflow optimization to streamline processes and reduce movement, handling, and transportation time.
- Maintain metrics: drawing release status, on-time release, and related project deliverables.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems; strong GD&T concepts; exposure to advanced manufacturing techniques, digitization, and robotics (low-cost automation).
- Knowledge of form, fit & function of products; application of measurement principles for manufacturing.
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in mechanical, production, or industrial & automotive engineering.
- Experience in industrial engineering and CAD/CAM design.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage design and manufacturing documentation.
