Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform the daily operations of welding on casings and components in line with ISO:9001 and ISO:190443, following the SQDC approach to achieve shift‑wise targets based on Plan inputs and standard work.
• Contribute to team efforts to accomplish organizational goals.
• Apply basic EHS guidelines and environmental considerations, and assess risks related to inspection activities on machines and during assembly. Follow site EHS procedures and nuclear safety awareness, conducting daily risk assessments at shift start, and report any stop‑work or EHS & quality concerns.
• Operate and maintain lifting tools and tackle work as required. Review and understand lifting plan documents such as lifting plans, SOPs, lifting certificates, and Form10 certificates. Prioritize safety by rigorously adhering to safety standards and processes.
• Understand and apply basic principles of lifting processes for nuclear components. Follow methods, standards, and work instructions to interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine suitable welding processes. Show awareness of ITNS‑I, ITNS‑A, and CSFI, and maintain nuclear safety awareness.
• Apply lean principles (5S, TPM, Kaizen) and maintain a safe, clean workplace.
• Work cooperatively with fellow operator and cross‑functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production, and support other machine and assembly teams.
• Lead and train others as assigned, fostering respect, inclusion, and diverse perspectives.
• Approach daily work with continuous improvement, reducing cycle time, improving machine availability and efficiency, and lowering operating costs.
• Maintain equipment conditions that do not compromise safety, and embody company values of humility, transparency, and focus.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Minimum 12th Pass
• At least 3 years’ experience in heavy fabrication and understanding of engineering drawings.
• Approved lifting operation certificates and knowledge of lifting and rigging work.
