Powerstatic Solutions India Private Limited in Sanand, Gujarat, is seeking an experienced machinist to operate HBM machines for machining casings and rotary parts. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards while contributing to organizational goals.
Applicants should have a strong background in CNC machining with a minimum of 5 years of experience along with ITI or mechanical engineering diplomas. A commitment to safety and efficient communication is essential for this role.
Perform the daily operations of the HBM machine on casings and rotary parts in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 19443, using the SQDC approach to achieve shift‑wise targets per machining inputs and standard work. Contribute to team efforts to accomplish organizational goals.
Follow site EHS procedures and nuclear safety awareness; conduct daily risk assessments at shift start. Report any stop work or concerns related to EHS and quality.
Execute activities in compliance with work‑specific regulatory requirements and organizational EHS policy. Assess risks and hazards associated with tasks and implement mitigation actions. Acquire necessary authorisations/training before performing activities.
Ensure contract workers perform assigned activities safely within your area. Maintain knowledge of basic EHS guidelines, environmental impacts, and risks in the machine shop.
Understand nuclear safety culture and ITNS‑I & A (Important to Nuclear Safety – Item & Activity). Review machining documents such as MOPs, SOPs, drawings, KSL, program files, tool sheets, and FMEAs.
Participate in TPM procedures, including AM checklists and preventive maintenance activities. Know casing components and operate the CNC milling machine.
Perform job setup and offset, tool setup and offset, and precise quality measurements as per instructions and requirements.
Set up and machine ITNS‑I nuclear high‑pressure valves, execute ITNS‑A activities, and perform technical checks per procedures.
Machine other nuclear casings and parts: parting‑plane holes, gland bore, taper pin holes, parting‑plane, drilling, tapping, thread milling, boring, key slot, stator frame, casing roughing, and pipe machining.
Monitor production, adjust feed and machine settings appropriately. Use measuring instruments, perform error checks, and apply cutting tools. Troubleshoot machines and understand CNC and manual programs.
Apply lean tools such as 5S, TPM, and Kaizen, maintaining a safe and clean workplace. Coordinate with fellow operators and cross‑functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production. Provide support to other machine and assembly teams.
