Job description

Responsibilities

Perform the daily operations of RSL machine on rotary parts and casings in line with ISO:9001 & ISO:19443 along with SQDC approach to achieve shift‑wise target as per machining inputs & standard work.

Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing the organizational goals.

Follow site EHS procedures and nuclear safety awareness along with daily points of work risk assessment at shift start.

Report any stop work or concerns related to EHS and quality.

Perform and assign activities in line with work-specific regulatory compliance and organizational EHS policy.

Be competent in assessing risks & hazards associated with the task and respective mitigation actions.

Undergo required EHS trainings to work safely and perform tasks in a safe manner.

Acquire the respective authorization/training before performing an activity.

Ensure that all contract workers are performing the assigned activity safely while working with you or in the nearby area.

Have knowledge about basic EHS guidelines/Environmental Impact & aspect and risk related to activities of the machine shop.

Understand the nuclear safety culture and ITNS-I & A (Important To Nuclear Safety – Item & Activity).

Review and understand machining documents such as MOPs, SOPs, drawings, KSL, program files, tool sheets and FMEAs.

Follow TPM procedures like AM checklist and involvement in PM activities.

Possess knowledge of rotary & casing components, bearing pads & operating CNC milling machine.

Perform job set‑up & offset, tool set‑up & offset and precise quality measurements as per instructions and requirements.

Set up and machine ITNS-I nuclear HP valve, execute ITNS-Activity and perform technical check of ITNS-A as per procedures and requirements.

Perform other nuclear casing & parts machining, rotor coupling holes & balancing holes machining, Fir tree groove machining, taper pin holes, parting plane machining, drilling, tapping, thread milling, boring, generator slot machining, balancing & straddle groove opening and Carden holes.

Monitor production, adjust feed & appropriate machine setting.

Know usage of measuring instruments, error check & its application.

Know cutting tools & its application, troubleshoot machine and understand CNC program & manual program.

Apply lean approach like 5S, TPM, Kaizen and maintain a safe & clean workplace.

Work in teamwork and coordination with fellow operator team & cross‑functional team for uninterrupted production.

Support other machine teams & assembly team.

Qualifications
