Powerstatic Solutions India Private Limited located in Sanand, Gujarat, is seeking a skilled machinist to operate a 3-Axis machine for turbine blades. The role involves adhering to ISO standards and EHS procedures while achieving shift targets and maintaining a safe working environment.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in machining turbine blades, an ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and a strong understanding of lean concepts. Candidates must demonstrate integrity and effective communication skills during shift changes.
Perform the daily operations of a 3‑Axis machine on turbine blades in line with ISO:9001 & ISO:19443, applying the SQDC approach to achieve shift‑wise targets based on machining inputs and standard work. Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing organisational goals and follow site EHS procedures and nuclear safety awareness, including daily risk assessment at shift start. Report any stop‑work or concerns related to EHS or quality and complete tasks in compliance with work‑specific regulatory requirements and organisational EHS policy. Assess risks and hazards, undertake mitigation actions and complete required EHS training before work. Ensure contract workers operate safely in the area and possess knowledge of basic EHS guidelines, environmental impact, and nuclear safety culture (ITNS‑I&A). Review machining documents such as MOPs, SOPs, drawings, KSL, programmes, tool sheets and FMEAs. Follow TPM procedures, participate in PM activities and apply lean concepts such as 5S, TPM and Kaizen to maintain a safe and clean workplace. Operate CNC machines for blade manufacturing, perform setups and offsets, carry out precise quality measurements, execute small band‑saw cutting, blade root and shroud milling, deburring and monitor production while adjusting feed and machine settings. Use measuring instruments, handle cutting tools, troubleshoot machinery and understand both CNC and manual programmes. Work cooperatively with operator and cross‑functional teams, support other machine and assembly teams, and maintain effective shift‑change communication.
