Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a qualified Architect to lead township and large-scale residential design efforts in Kolkata. The role requires coordinating with structural, MEP, landscape and other consultants to ensure design intent is accurately translated into working drawings and construction documents.

You will review drawings, ensure compliance with building codes and NBC, and support approvals and liaise with stakeholders to maintain timelines and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Experience with township and large-scale residential projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of building codes, development regulations and approval processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate architectural designs for township and large-scale residential projects.


• Prepare and review architectural drawings, layouts, working drawings, and detailed design documentation.


• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, infrastructure, and other consultants.


• Ensure designs comply with local development regulations, building codes, NBC, and authority requirements.


• Coordinate with project, construction, and execution teams to resolve design-related issues.


• Review drawings and ensure design intent is maintained during project execution.


• Assist in obtaining necessary approvals and coordinate with consultants/liaison teams.


• Review BOQs, specifications, material selections, and architectural details.


• Conduct site visits to monitor architectural execution and identify discrepancies.


• Coordinate with contractors and vendors regarding drawings, specifications, and design requirements.


• Manage revisions and maintain proper documentation of drawings and design changes.


• Support project teams in maintaining quality, timelines, and design standards.


• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical inputs.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Township Planning & Architecture.


• Experience in residential / integrated township projects.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Office and other relevant architectural software.


• Knowledge of working drawings, construction details, and architectural specifications.


• Good understanding of building codes, development regulations, and approval processes.


• Strong coordination and communication skills.


• Ability to coordinate with multiple consultants and project stakeholders.


• Good understanding of construction methodology and site execution.

Qualification
