Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Manager - VA (Underbody Architecture) to lead the development of underbody vehicle architecture for varied platforms, including EVs. You will optimize layouts to meet structural, packaging, safety, and manufacturing needs, and drive platform development across derivatives.

You will coordinate with BIW teams, ensure crashworthiness and stiffness targets, and support NVH and durability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Production Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in complete vehicle architecture.
• Experience with global OEM vehicle development programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of underbody vehicle architecture for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, or EV platforms.
• Define and optimize vehicle underbody layouts considering structural, packaging, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop platform architectures supporting multiple vehicle derivatives.
• Ensure optimum integration of chassis, suspension, powertrain, battery systems (EV), exhaust, steering, and braking systems.
• Drive vehicle package optimization for weight, performance, and cost.
• Define underbody load paths and structural concepts.
• Collaborate with BIW teams for floor structures, cross members, side members, and reinforcements.
• Ensure crashworthiness and structural stiffness targets are achieved.
• Support NVH, durability, and fatigue performance improvements.
