Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks an experienced professional with strong hands-on expertise in Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, and Financial Reporting. You will work on US GAAP/IFRS issues, prepare accounting memos and position papers, and support complex transactions across revenue recognition, consolidations, and investments.

Collaboration with senior stakeholders and external auditors is essential, with preference for Big 4 or advisory backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Technical Accounting / Accounting Advisory / Financial Reporting.
• Expertise in US GAAP and/or IFRS and accounting research.
• Experience handling complex and non-routine accounting transactions.
• Exposure to technical accounting memos, accounting policies and position papers.
• Experience across Revenue Recognition, Leases, Business Combinations, Consolidation, Investments, Debt/Equity, Impairment, Share-based Payments.
• Exposure to new accounting standard implementation and assessment of accounting implications.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, disclosures and audit support.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders, external auditors and cross-functional teams.
• Big 4 / Accounting Advisory / Technical Accounting background preferred.
