Job summary

Metaphor Infotech Mumbai is seeking an experienced technical accounting professional to lead complex IFRS/US GAAP engagements and provide guidance on financial reporting matters.

You will monitor IASB/FASB developments, support conversions, and work with US stakeholders and senior leadership to deliver high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years post-qualification experience in Technical Accounting / Financial Reporting / FAAS / External Audit.
• Qualified CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent with professional membership.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of ISA and US GAAS with audit experience.
• Experience in technical accounting, memos and financial reporting conversions.
• Strong understanding of IASB and FASB developments.
• Experience with Big 4 / National Office / FAAS teams.
• Proven leadership of CA/CPA teams.
• Strong research, analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting and financial reporting engagements, providing guidance on complex IFRS and US GAAP matters.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos, position papers and financial reporting guidance.
• Monitor developments and assess the impact of IASB and FASB standards and projects.
• Support IFRSUS GAAP financial reporting conversions and complex accounting assessments.
• Work closely with US stakeholders, subject matter experts and senior leadership on technical accounting matters.
• Contribute to technical guidance, illustrative financial statements and accounting research.
• Lead, mentor and develop teams of CA/CPA professionals.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, deliverables and timelines while ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Present and communicate complex technical accounting matters to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile
