Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking an accounting advisory professional to help clients apply Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP for financial reporting. You will support conversion projects and provide guidance on complex accounting areas such as financial instruments, business combinations, revenue recognition, and leases.

You will also draft memos, assist with M&A-related accounting, IPO readiness, and regulatory-compliant financial statements, while liaising with auditors and regulators to resolve

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/ACCA qualification is required.
• 2–6 years of relevant accounting advisory experience.
• Big 4 or consulting background preferred.
• Experience in Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in applying Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP for financial reporting.
• Support conversion projects (IGAAP to Ind AS / IFRS).
• Advise on complex accounting areas (instruments, business combinations, revenue, leases, consolidation, impairment, share-based payments).
• Draft technical accounting memos and position papers.
• Assist with transaction-related accounting (M&A, restructuring, carve-outs).
• Support IPO readiness and listing requirements (financial statements, pro-forma, prospectus support).
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors and regulators to resolve issues.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and training within the firm.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• – Assist clients in applying Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP for financial reporting.
• – Support in conversion projects (IGAAP to Ind AS / IFRS).
• – Advise on complex accounting areas such as financial instruments, business combinations, revenue recognition, leases, consolidation, impairment, and share-based payments.
• – Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for clients.
• – Assist with transaction-related accounting including mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and carve-outs.
• – Support clients in IPO readiness and listing requirements, including preparation of financial statements, pro-forma accounts, and prospectus support.
• – Provide support on financial statement preparation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• – Liaise with auditors and regulators on behalf of clients to resolve technical issues.
• – Work on process improvements, accounting policies, and controls framework for better financial reporting.
• – Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical training, and thought leadership material within the firm.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• – Strong technical knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and Companies Act, 2013.
• – Understanding of financial reporting frameworks and corporate governance.
• – Ability to research, analyze and present technical accounting issues clearly.
• – Good communication and report-writing skills.
• – Strong project management, multi-tasking, and client relationship management skills.
• – Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications & Experience:

• – Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA/ACCA equivalent.
• – 2 – 6 years of relevant experience in accounting advisory, financial reporting, or audit (Big 4 / consulting background preferred).
