Job Title: Strategic Risk Management Executive, Automotive Product Development

As part of our continued growth and commitment to pioneering new initiatives, we are establishing the Special Initiatives Division within the President's office. This division will play a pivotal role in driving new product development projects and ensuring seamless execution aligned with our strategic objectives.

Role Overview:

We are looking for high-caliber early-career professionals to join the Strategic Risk Management team within Automotive Product Development. The role will work closely with senior leadership to drive program risk management and execution reviews across new vehicle development programs and ad hoc strategic assignments. The role requires an individual who can rapidly understand complex technical and business information, identify the critical issues, synthesize inputs from multiple functions and translate them into clear insights and actions for senior leadership. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of Automotive Engineering, Product Development, Program Management and Business Strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the automotive sector in the realm of risk management, preferably in new product development, Manufacturing or Automotive Strategy / Planning.
• Experience can be Pre/ Post MBA.
• Full-time MBA/ PGDM from a premier B-School (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, FMS, IIT, and other equivalent etc)
• BE/ B Tech in engineering from reputed institution (TIER-1).
• Candidate without prior Automotive /Mechanical industry experience will not be considered.
• Preferred combination of experience: Engineering + MBA assignments specialization in Planning, Operations, Finance, General management, EAs to P&L Owners or related disciplines.
• Exceptional learning agility – ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technical, business and program topics.
• Strong analytical and synthesis capability – ability to absorb large volumes of fragmented information, identify the underlying issue and distil it into a few critical insights.
• Executive communication – ability to convert complex analysis into concise, structured narratives for senior leadership reviews.
• Structured problem solving – ability to break ambiguous problems into hypotheses, analyse facts and drive resolution.
• Cross-functional influence – ability to work with Engineering, Product Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance and Program teams.
• High ownership and execution orientation – ability to independently drive closure of critical actions.
• Advanced PowerPoint / Excel skills with ability to build executive-level analysis and storytelling

Daily Work Management:

• Identify, assess and forecast program and engineering risks across vehicle development programs.
• Synthesise inputs from multiple functions to identify the few critical risks requiring leadership intervention.
• Drive risk prioritisation, mitigation and closure with respective program/function owners.
• Establish and monitor program health indicators and risk dashboards.

2.Leadership Reviews & Strategic Insights

• Prepare leadership-level reviews for the President / senior management, converting detailed program inputs into concise insights, decisions and actions.
• Independently deep-dive into complex topics and develop fact-based recommendations.
• Connect information across programs/functions to identify systemic issues, trends and opportunities for horizontal deployment.

3.Cross-functional Execution

• Work closely with Product Development, Engineering COEs, Product Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance and other stakeholders.
• Drive structured problem-solving on cross-functional issues.
• Follow through on agreed actions and ensure timely closure
