Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. seeks a seasoned Cost Engineer to lead BOM costing and pricing strategy for automotive components, with emphasis on electrical and electronics.

You will assess raw material rates, currency and commodity impacts, and develop budgeting for multiple projects. The role requires 20+ years of experience and a BTech degree, and involves building a competent cost engineering team, establishing cost benchmarks, and ensuring BOM costing accuracy from drawings through to supplier

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various aggregates used in automotive including sheet metal, plastic, rubber, electrical, electronics, casting and forging.
• Special emphasis on Electrical and Electronics and exposure to new technology and trends.
• Knowledge of raw material rates, standards and trend across industries.
• Ability to cost the product based on drawing / circuit input.
• Develop a pricing strategy for key components and suppliers to protect BOM costing.
• Knowledge of domestic and import taxes and their impact on BOM costing.
• Develop a team of competent Cost Engineers to generate project zero-base costing.
• Maintain and track multiple project BOM costs.
• Evaluate budget impact on BOM cost due to currency and commodity inflations.
