Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited seeks a senior Cost Engineer to lead BOM costing across automotive components, including sheet metal, plastics, rubber, electricals, and casting.

You will develop pricing strategies, oversee budgeting, and build a team while monitoring currency and commodity effects on BOM costs, with emphasis on electrical and electronics.

The role requires deep expertise, a B.Tech, and 12+ years in cost engineering, with strong analytical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aggregates used in automotive (Sheet metal, Plastic, Rubber, Electrical, Electronics, Casting and Forging).
• Special emphasis on Electrical and Electronics and exposure to new technology and trends.
• Knowledge of special processes such as plating, welding, PCB technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and track multiple project's BOM cost.
• Develop a team of competent Cost Engineers to generate project Zero Base costing.
• Evaluate and budget impact on BOM cost due to currency and commodity inflations.
• Establish pricing strategy for Key and Critical components and suppliers to protect BOM costing.

• Should be able to cost the product based on drawing / circuit input.


• Should establish pricing strategy for Key and Critical components and suppliers to protect Bill Of Material (BOM) costing.


• Knowledge of Taxes (Domestic and Import) must and its impact on Bill Of Material (BOM) costing.


• Develop a team of competent Cost Engineers to generate project Zero Base costing.


• Maintain and Track multiple project's BOM Cost.


• Evaluate and Budget impact on BOM cost due to currency and Commodity inflations.
