Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Pune seeks a seasoned procurement professional to drive cost estimation, negotiations, and supplier management for automotive and farm equipment components. You will actively source, empanel vendors, and lead capability-building initiatives to optimize own commodity performance.

With 10–14 years of experience, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams to anticipate risks and enable smooth production operations across multiple plants and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering or technology degree with specialization in mechanical/automobile domains.
• 10-14 years of general experience in procurement or sourcing for manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities

• Cost estimation, negotiation, and price settlement for proprietary, hydraulics, harnesses, and rubber/plastic parts.
• Active sourcing to map completion and new trends for own commodity.
• Negotiations with suppliers for own commodity.
• Empanelling proprietary and spare parts planning vendors as per platform targets.
• Supporting Supplier Business Capability Building initiative for own commodity.
• Anticipate business risk and propose mitigation plans for own commodities.
• Collaborating with SSU Leadership, Accounts, Business Excellence, Plant Heads, Spares lead, Strategic Vendors, Government Agencies to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Participating in SSU forums to project business indicators and provide input to stakeholders.

Cost estimation, Negotiation, and Price settlement of Proprietary, Hydraulics, Harnesses and Rubber and Plastic Parts.Active sourcing to map completion and new trends for own commodity.Carrying out negotiations with suppliers for own commodity.Empanelling proprietary and spare parts planning vendors as per the platform targets.Supporting Supplier Business Capability Building initiative for own commodity.Anticipate business risk associated with own commodities and relevant industries and propose mitigation plan.Actively collaborating with multiple stakeholdersSSU Leadership, Accounts, Business Excellence, Plant Heads, Spares lead, Strategic Vendors, Government Agencies to resolve/anticipate issues and ensure smooth operations.Participating in various SSU forums to project business indicators, concerns, highlights of performance and give inputs to stakeholders /decision making.Coordination with supplier quality team to ensure timely and flawless development
