Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a seasoned sourcing leader in Mumbai with 10–15 years in strategic sourcing to drive commodity negotiations and vendor onboarding.

You will develop long and short term strategies, manage supplier panels, and deliver cost savings while staying ahead of industry trends. You will collaborate with SSU Leadership, Accounts and plant heads to mitigate risks and ensure smooth operations, presenting updates to senior management and guiding ethical sourcing practices

Qualifications

• MBA or BE with 10–15 years in Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience as commodity buyer for proprietary components (Sunroof, Side Door Latches, Window Regulators, etc.).
• Experience achieving cost savings through negotiations.
• 10+ years in sourcing with technology trend awareness.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and enabling team.

Responsibilities

• Devise long term and short term sourcing strategies considering current and future business needs and Industry dynamics.
• Carrying out negotiations with suppliers for own commodity.
• Achieve cost saving targets by driving negotiations.
• Empanelling vendors as per the targets.
• Vendor on board by identifying suitable supplier panel, techno commercial synthesis and negotiations.
• Bringing in industry intelligence in own domain and keep up with the technology trends in own domain.
• Presenting key updates, issues to senior management and seek support for de bottlenecking wherever required.
• Anticipate business risk associated with own commodities and relevant industries and propose mitigation plan.
• Actively collaborating with multiple stakeholders - SSU Leadership, Accounts, Business Excellence, Plant Heads, Spares Sourcing Head, Strategic Vendors, Government Agencies to resolve/anticipate issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Participating in various SSU forums to project business indicators, concerns, highlights of performance and give inputs to stakeholders /decision making.
• Being a role model for Ethics and Integrity as well as demonstration of Sourcing behaviours.
• To be amiable, professional and approachable at all times.
